Quick Scan TemplatesQuick Scan Templates are used within ChartGallery to streamline the scanning of any common
document, be it a Drivers License, Insurance Card, or even printed Lab
Results. Dimensions, color depth, and even the resulting file name are
all generated by the template, allowing one-click scanning of many common items. Quick Document PreviewQuickly browse through images and documents using the "Media Preview" panel. This
panel gives a resized preview of the selected item, including any annotations, thus
allowing fast identification of a desired image or document. The following
media file types can be previewed: - .pdf - PDF Documents
- .doc - Microsoft Word Documents
- .txt - Plain Text Files
- .html - Web Documents
- .jpg, .gif, .png, .tif
- Image Files
Stored Annotations
Annotations such as color highlighting and "sticky note" style comments can be added
to scanned images and documents as desired. The annotations themselves remain
with the media file but do not overwrite any information. As such,
they can be edited, moved, or removed all together at any time.
Comprehensive File Type Support
Both Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF file formats can be imported and viewed within
ChartGallery, all without within the need for third party software such as Microsoft Office or Adobe Reader. ChartGallery's own media reader can interpret and display both of these document types out of the box, no additional software is needed! Audio/Video Storage
ChartGallery not only provides storage for image and document files, but also includes
a repository for common Audio / Video formats. Any recorded sound or video
files pertaining to the patient's chart can be quickly imported into their ChartGallery
record. Once included, these media items can be quickly retrieved, viewed,
or even saved as an external file.
Quickly Email, Print, or View Stored Media
ChartGallery provides comprehensive access to all media items. Any item can
be sent as an Email to a referring physician (or even them patient them self) by
simply choosing a right-click option. Files can also be Emailed or Printed
en-masse, or even saved as external files. Secure Storage and RetrievalOf course, interlaced security features enforce tight controls on viewing and printing of the data captured in ChartGallery. Over twenty granular security settings
can be set on a per-role or per-user basis to allow or limit a given user's access
to functions and stored media within ChartGallery.
Included in these options are document "sensitivity" levels. Using these sensitivity
levels, a given user can be granted access to innocuous items such as Drivers License
or Insurance Card images, while still being restricted from confidential medical
information (i.e. lab reports, narrative records, etc.) |
