ChartPower® Electronic Medical Record

ChartPower® is the choice for today’s busy dermatologist. This mature software product brings diverse yet thorough methods for creation and editing of the patient’s electronic medical record. At the core of ChartPower® lies a data set that is specifically designed for dermatologists. The dermatology specific forms are backed up by in-depth history, complaint, and examination forms that can handle a wide array of diagnosis and treatment situations.

Of course, a system is only as good as its input capabilities. ChartPower® input forms are designed to be used with touch screens. This methodology greatly increases the speed and accuracy at which a patient encounter can be documented. Thousands of PracticeStudio® installations have proven this method of input to be the fastest with the shortest learning curve. The design of the data set presents the input forms in a manner that the doctor is use to seeing. Comprehension of the data set and expectation of what form is coming next becomes intuitive after only a few hours of training and use.

To capture specific, unpredictable information about patient encounters, ChartPower® includes the ScribeMate® feature that allows dictated information to be input in discrete locations throughout the input of the narrative data. Voice recognition and direct keyboard input are also available.

Ready To Use: One of the strengths of the ChartPower® suite of products lies in the fact that the system is installed with thousands of prebuilt forms, ready to use out of the box. Many competitive systems require hours and even days of "training" in order for the system to be usable by the doctor. That’s not the case with ChartPower®.

HomeBase:

Entry of the patient’s chart note starts with the Homebase form. Every portion of the patient’s chart may be reviewed from options on this form.

History and Physical: When the patient encounter calls for a complete History and Physical, this option will present with a full list of chief complaints, history of present illness, review of system, and examination forms.

Lesion Entry: Of course, there are distinct lesion forms for examination and treatment of all lesions. These forms are designed for speed of input without losing the ability to specify lesion type, location, and size. The documentation of the treatment will also be linked with the examination data.

Work Flows: Dermatology specific procedures round out the plethora of forms available in the data set. These are work flow specific procedures including those for Accutane, Acne, Chemical Peels, General Consultation, Intense Pulsed Light, Laser, Melanoma, Mohs’ Pre-Op, Op Notes, Post-Op, Rosacea, Sclerotherapy, and Wart work flows.
