PracticeStudio.NET incorporates an improved interface and menuing system that has
been designed around the way a clinic works to provide intuitive and quick access to every piece of the PracticeStudio suite. In addition to these structural changes, the aesthetics of the interface have been updated to flow with Microsoft's new Vista and Office 2007 themes.
Organized By Role
The menuing system within PracticeStudio.NET
has been organized based on the user's role within the clinic. In this way,
Front Desk personell can quickly access forms to enroll a patient, post a transaction,
schedule an appointment, or print a SuperBill, all without having to wade through
menus containing choices that do no pertain to them. Using the same system,
a doctor can quickly begin documenting the medical record, access scanned X-rays,
or view electronically imported lab results, again without being bothered by irrelevent
menus or prompts.
Intuitive Reporting Interface
The reporting interface has been
completely redesigned in PracticeStudio.NET in much the same way as the role-based
menus. Like the menus, reports are now organized based on the role within
the clinic to which they most pertain. In addition, both Search capability
and a user-specific Favorites menu have been added. Using these enhancements,
any report within the PracticeStudio.NET system can be quickly found and utilized.
Powerful Integrated Security
In addition to the structural and
aesthetic updates to the .NET interface, a powerful new security system has been
introduced. Using this system, users can be granted or restricted access based
to specific programs based on role, IP address, or time of day. Many global
preferences are also available to ensure secure practices throughout the system
such as enforced password complexity and automatic session timeouts. For a
comprehensive breakdown of the features and benifits of PracticeStudio.NET's security
system, refer to the Role Based Security page.
SQL Server IntegrationThe launch of PracticeStudio.NET marks
the introduction of SQL Server integration with the PracticeStudio system.
Many of the new features within the PracticeStudio.NET
suite, such as the Role Based Security system, are already utilizing this powerfull
SQL interface. A full migration to SQL Server is underway, and will be released
in phases via the standard UPP updates throughout the year.
