The PowerView inquiry provides a means to review much of the financial information for your clinic and patient accounts. Several different page tabs options reveal the transactions in a "Ledger Card" image including a list of all "Family" members attached to the head of household account, diagnosis history for a patient, statement images, insurance plan information, claim information, and insurance billing logs.
Ledger Card
Different transaction types may be selected to refine or narrow the search and display during ledger card view (i.e .charges, payments, write-offs, etc.). A detailed view of the ledger transactions will display all pertinent information about the transaction. For example, a detailed view of a charge transaction will show the code, descriptions, place of service, type of service, financial class, batch code, transaction amount, creation time and user, and visit information.
Other detailed page tab views include information about the diagnosis code and modifiers as well as the charge amounts and credits that have been applied, including payments and/or write-offs. Of course, the "Hcfa" tab will display all claim information pertaining to the transaction while the "Pending" page tab displays the current pending amount due from applicable carriers. Statement View
This option will display all transactions corresponding to a unique statement that was printed for the patient. Since all transactions are "linked" to unique statement identifiers, a detailed view of any past statement is available to help in explanation and review of patient accounts.
Insurance Claims
Details relating to all printed or electronic claims are available via the Insurance Claims page tab. Individual service lines, "reprint" information, and any basic data about the claim is available in the detailed view for each claim.
Claim Form Images
Whether dealing with paper or electronic claims, a detailed "Claim Form View" is available. This representation shows all pertinent information related to the claim while providing several different control options.
While viewing the claim, a "Re-Submit" option is enabled which provides the user with the option of re-submitting the claim to the insurance carrier. Two different methodologies may be employed. First, the claim may be re-submitted in its original form. This is useful for any claim that was "lost" by the carrier. Secondly, individual service lines (all or any combination of the original) may be selected to produce a "new" claim that will be submitted to the carrier. This option is used when the information needs to be changed prior to claim re-submission. After selections of either of these two options, the claim will be "scheduled for reprint" and be included in the next claim printing cycle. Insurance Log
The Insurance Log page tab shows summary information pertaining to all claims that have been processed (either printed or transmitted electronically) or those that have not been processed.
The inquiry options include showing "Billed claims not fully paid", or "Claims not yet billed". For example, using the "Billed claims not fully paid" option, all claims that were processed 30 days ago but have yet to be paid will be displayed in summary. From this summary ledger, the claim detail may be viewed for pertinent information about the claim, including the option to "re-submit" the claim to the carrier. | | | | |
