Join the paperless revolution: not only can you import documents and images into a patient's file, but you can also annotate those files electronically once they've been imported.

With PracticeStudio's Patient Media module, you can import or scan virtually any type of record into a patient's file, store the records in a central location, and add electronic sticky notes, highlighting, and annotations to most records.

Central Storage for All Patient Chart Media

Store any and all information pertaining to a patient's medical chart in a central location:

  • Scan or import documents, images, emails, and digital audio/video files:
    • Attach imported or scanned lab results to a lab order already associated with the patient's record.
    • Attach an imported or scanned file to a message and send it to one or more PracticeStudio users for review.
    • Set up Quick Scan templates for commonly scanned items such as drivers' licenses and insurance cards.
  • Choose to view files related to all the patient's incidents or a single incident.
  • Preview the selected file in the right panel of the Patient Media screen.
  • Filter the media files so that only files of a certain type are displayed (e.g. images, documents, audio/video, etc.).
  • Print any visual file (i.e. any file that's not audio/video) stored in Patient Media if you need a paper copy.

Annotations

Add electronic annotations to images and documents: highlighting, straight or free-drawn lines, and "sticky notes" with text.

Photo Acquisition

Acquire a photo of the patient (using a digital camera) that will appear throughout PracticeStudio when the patient's record is accessed.

Document-Level Permissions

Grant or deny permission to view and/or edit Patient Media materials by user in the PracticeStudio Security Editor.
