Lab Management Interface

The Lab Management function within PracticeStudio centralizes the information relating to labs for all patients and uses the Smart Messaging system to provide reminders and assign lab tasks to different members of a clinic staff.

  • View all open labs and track the orders based on Provider, Facility, Patient, and more.
  • Review order dates to help ensure timely results
  • Create new orders or attach results to existing lab orders

Send Electronic Orders

  • Send lab orders electronically to labs (including local labs).
  • Receive corresponding lab results electronically from bidirectional labs—and PracticeStudio will automatically update the appropriate patient chart.
  • Post discrete analyte information in the patient's chart for reporting and graphing purposes, eliminating manual entry of the lab order and lab results while providing the best access to both provider and patient.

Custom Integration

  • Patient Media: Scan or import lab results into Patient Media and view them in the Lab Management folder without having to navigate back to Patient Media.

Chronograph

PracticeStudio offers the unique Chronograph which allows the user to observe patient's data over time. Any lab values that come in will automatically appear here whether entered manually or if they come in automatically through a lab interface. When a value falls above or below a normal, an arrow will be shown as an indicator to that affect.

Finally, you can graph all points of data and graphically see that data displayed over time. In scenarios where there are multiple parts to the value such as blood pressure, the normals as well as the points are plotted uniquely on the same graph to easy viewing.
